Farmers market, Community supported agriculture, GAS, Solidarische Landwirtschaft, plastic packaging and hidden plastic cost, seeds, Food Forests, self-grown vegetables, community gardens, uglyness, 24/7, 15 minutes walk, distribution, Bio Shops.
The Farmers' market is great, but it happens only once a week, and often not in your neighborhood.
The Bio shop can be quite expensive, and it's full of single-use food packaging.
The CSA (community supported agriculture), community gardens and food cooperatives are all fundamental and necessary, but they often require a commitment larger than what we are able to give.
Sometimes we buy a single courgette from the regular supermarket thinking "At least it's without packaging," not knowing that in Spain the largest greenhouse under which it grew dispersed in the water and underground tons of plastic cover cooked by the sun.
I also find the veggie box delivery an expensive service, the box is even extra packaging, and the food is not always great. Also, I like to gather the food by myself if I can, if possible in a quiet, not too huge and dispersive place.
Here you can find local potatoes, the same ones of the saturday market which you missed, supplied in a neighborhood distribution point, perhaps 24/7. Price is the same and goes directly to the farmer. Next to the potatoes, there's the Rosemary of Liselotte: she has quite a large garden. The zucchini are from the food forest south of the city: the group meet every Saturday, but you can also find them here. The fruit area has been crowdfunded by a group of customers. A percentage is for sale to the spontaneous neighbor. The walnuts are for free, Jessica received them in exchange of a favor by the guy who has the trees.
